Welcome to the USS Victory

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover. - Mark Twain

The year is 2385. A decade has past since the Dominion ravaged our Quadrant, decimated our numbers and left us bleeding; broken yet ever determined. In that time, the Federation has continued its pledge to be a bastion of peace and exploration and, in an effort to rebuild, has set forth to strengthen its ties not only within its membership but further afield, to those who may one day join us in ensuring that freedom remains the right of those who seek it.

These are the stories of the USS Victory, an Excelsior-class exploration vessel charged with the ongoing mission to seek out old and new acquaintences, extending to them the hand of cooperation in all matters scientific, diplomatic and, where necessary, defense. We are the living proof that even old warhorses have a valuable contribution to make and we will never forget that, in our capacity of ambassadors, not only for our own people but for a set of principles and ideals that promote peace instead of war, cooperation rather than conflict, and invention, ingenuity and imagination beyond all else, that we represent those who came before us and lay the groundwork for those to follow. We are pioneers, adventurers, scholars and scientists; we are StarFleet.

Welcome aboard! The USS Victory is an Obsidian Fleet play-by-SMS simm always searching for new ideas and fresh enthusiasm. Please browse the site at your leisure and feel free to direct any comments, queries or concerns to Commander Carys Williams, CO. Enjoy!
